Last weekend, Kirk and I took a trip up to CT to help my dad and Joyce move into their new home . . . it's so perfect! They plan on doing some renovations and trimming down a lot of the shrubs and trees in the yard (I personally love it the way it is, but that's coming from a city dweller who takes any greenery she can get). I especially love the slate-covered patio Dad discovered while clearing out some of the ground cover.  Notice these pics were taken after a long day of moving and we're all sucking down a beer : )
